Prison System
Society has been, and, most probably, always will be built of block of classes: rich and poor, educated and uneducated, black and yellow or white. Humans are socialized animals who tend to live together in groups.“Of all animals, man is the only sociable one. Every one of us preys upon his neighbor and yet we herd together”(Gay, John, n.d.)[1]. How these groups are formed is based on a variety of factors mainly cultural and socio-economic. For example, caste system in India is based on family heritage and socio-economic. Most of cases are the factor of agriculture result from the origin of the family. E.g. Hindu caste system in India or educated city dwellers and agricultural workers in Thailand.
All cultures have expelled black sheep from their groups. These black sheep may have broken societal laws and so, in the worst scenario, are pronounced as a “bad guy” and been separated from others, thought of as unworthy of being in Society. So judged, they are sent to prison. These “black sheep” have committed a crime or broken the law. In most cases, a society has decided its rules/ laws have been broken,.However, in some cases in very strict regimes, eg breaking Sharia law, based on the Koran in some Islamic countries are sent to prison for expressing their opinions. In Victor Hugo’s book, and the film based on it , “Les Miserables” one prisoner has been imprisoned for the theft of a loaf of bread. “You are wrong. And always have been wrong. I'm a man, no worse than any man. You are free, and there are no conditions. No bargains or petitions. There is nothing that I blame you for. You have done your duty, nothing more.” (Hugo,Victor, 1862) [2] In Thailand, a more relaxed country, there are still very strict lese majeste laws which are responsible for many being sent to prison for questioning or criticizing the monarchy.
Taxes are collected from various sources. Part of this revenue goes towards maintaining a . prison system. The quality and management of these prisons depends on how much importance a government decides. Prisons are often low priorities for governments as there are other pressing needs.“All of this is just another example of governments using taxpayers' money to move into areas where they have no business . Why is there a federal minister for sport? Or for media or tourism, areas that could be, and for many years were, left to their own devices?” (Sexton, Micheal, 2013)[3]

Muddles in the prison cell is more vital in third world country like thailand. The prison has abused many Universal declaration of human rights’ articles. It’s going to be impossible for the country like thailand to change into a first world country because the government, laws politics and people’s perspective still going against many of the declaration’s articles.
To announced that a country is a first world country is going to take more than economics of the country, but also require living condition and crime rates in the country. If a country become a first world country it’s going to benefit the country by helping the investment and to be renowned in the world. The condition of thailand right now is very civilized but it’s not stable in all mean. People are not in good quality of being a great world citizen. Education of Thailand can be say that it’s not effective at all.
As labeled in Article 5 “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” Many Prisoners have been tortured to dead and with out grace they are burnt right away just to get rid of the body. It’s not justified at all to be tortured to dead be forgotten. The government and prison should care about the fact that they are also another person another citizen of the country. It’s inhuman action to degrading someone even by scold a person or treated like an animal with no morality.
Government have been chosen as a decision maker of the country they should work by thinking in fact of helping the country choose the best for all not to satisfied one group of people or one group of politic perspective. It’s justified that they are the chosen so any other people need to accept the decision. Democracy has more influence on teenagers more and more because Thailand keep changing everyday to have a better generation is to have a generation that really understand the true meaning of democratic theory.
